Ginza
About This Spot
Stepping into Ginza, tucked away in the heart of old downtown Bellevue, feels like finding a quiet corner of Japan amidst the city buzz. The space is intimate and unpretentious, where warm wood tones and soft lighting invite you to pause and settle in. There’s a gentle hum of conversation and clinking dishes that creates a comforting rhythm, making it a perfect spot for both quiet meals and lively gatherings with friends or family.
The pace here encourages a relaxed appreciation of the craft behind every plate. The aroma hints at fresh, seasonal ingredients prepared with care—whether it’s the satisfying crispness of tonkatsu or the delicate balance in a chirashi bowl. Sushi and sashimi arrive with a quiet elegance, each piece thoughtfully composed, inviting you to savor the fresh textures and subtle flavors. It’s the kind of place where little moments matter, like the delicate miso soup that wraps up your meal or the unexpected delight of a complimentary fruit offering, adding a gentle sweetness to the experience.
Ginza’s atmosphere reflects a genuine hospitality that feels familial without being intrusive. The staff’s warmth makes the space feel lived-in and familiar, as if you’ve been welcomed into a friend’s home rather than a restaurant. This thoughtful energy carries through in every detail — from accommodating party celebrations in a cozy private room to the steady flow of familiar faces who come back for the simple joy of authentic Japanese flavors handled with care.
Whether you’re seeking a quiet lunch retreat or a casual spot to reconnect over shared plates, Ginza offers a grounded and satisfying experience—a place where the authenticity of the food and the kindness of the people combine into something quietly special.

Ginza is a hidden gem in old downtown Bellevue serving some of the best sushi in town! The sushi is incredibly fresh, and the friendly service makes the experience even better. The sushi chefs craft amazing sashimi and specialty rolls. It’s always busy, so be sure to make a reservation! Parking can be tricky, but free street parking and paid lots are nearby.

A hidden gem in Bellevue! Ginza is a small, family-owned Japanese restaurant with incredibly friendly staff and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. We stopped by for lunch on a weekday and were blown away by how delicious everything was. The Tonkatsu was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside — the shredded cabbage and sauce on the side were the perfect pairing. We also ordered the Sukiyaki, which was packed with flavor and came in a generous portion. The California roll was fresh and satisfying — you could really taste the quality of the ingredients. Don’t skip the hot green tea — it ties the meal together beautifully. Highly recommend supporting this local spot. You’ll leave full and happy!

I've eaten there many times. Their pumpkin rice is very delicious. The ingredients are very fresh. I like it very much. The private room is also suitable for parties. It's not too noisy and the service attitude is also very good.

Ginza is a fantastic spot for gathering with family and friends. The sushi is always fresh, authentic, and absolutely delicious. We especially love the real crab meat, it makes all the difference. Whether dining in or ordering takeout, Ginza never disappoints. Highly recommend!

I came here yesterday for the first time and it is now one of my favorite restaurants in the state. Some of the best Japanese food I’ve had, from the miso to the sushi and sashimi. Their signature fried rice was delicious as well. Complimentary green tea and fruits at the end. All very reasonably priced. I hope to come back often!
